No Signed SCA-What Should I Do Next? **New Letter UPDATE*

I posted a few weeks back about a catalogue debt that has arisen. Pretty sure I dont owe it but it is in my name with my details. I dont recall ordering anything either Apparently debt is approx 4yrs old and at current address where we have been living for nearly 5 years.

I sent the template letter off requesting signed credit agreement as suggested and got a letter back from one of the agents stating that they dont have a signed credit agreement (apparently most catalogues dont?) for me and that I still owe the debt! If I can prove that I wasnt living there at the time the catalogue was running they will write the account off.

What do I do next? Obviously I was living here. I have a common surname and am worried I am getting stung with someone elses debt to the tune of £950:eek:    They cashed the original £1 cheque (for copy of signed agreement) if you recall but in the letter received this morning, they are sending this back in way of a cheque I am receiving letters demanding money daily and I dont know what to do.

Is there another letter I can send them? I am so worried as I dont have £950 to just throw away. If I owe the money, then I will pay it but I honestly dont think I do.
